Embrace.io helps you monitor the performance and stability of your mobile apps to keep your users happy. In addition to adding a new brand/app to the world, our challenge was to tell the data story in a personal yet directional way.
We started on this path of what the users and data look to for direction. In a literal sense, we look north and since data is all numbers, we decided it was only logical to use the true north of 12.2 degrees from where the company is headquartered (Culver City, CA) to offset the North Star icon. The brand resembles this guidance idea while being a firm foundation for the data.
